Today is the day! The Final Song, the last book in The War Song Series, is officially released on the 72nd Anniversary of the Korean War. It is available beginning with Amazon in both paperbook and eBook format.
On June 25, 1950, about 75,000 soldiers from the North Korean People's Army crossed the 38th parallel to engage the South Koreans. At the end of World War II, the country was torn apart with the Soviet-backed portion to the north and the pro-Western portion to the south. The invasion on this day was the first military action of the Cold War. American soldiers would enter the war in July of the same year.
The Korean War is part of the historical backdrop of The Final Song. Other historical references include the memorable television and music of the time, baseball, and post-World War II acclamation for both men and women.

"President Truman and his Administration regard the attack by Moscow-backed North Korea as the gravest threat to world peace since the end of World War II. It seems the United States will oblige the South Korean request.”
Victoria dropped the dishtowel she was folding back into the basket and threw up both hands.
“Not another war!”
