A Fun Duet That Will Brighten Your Mood

I am recording the last chapters of the audiobook for Song of Return. This week, it is a chapter with more music. Singing some of these big band songs with the right timing and no accompanying music can be difficult. Hopefully, my listeners will enjoy the attempt!
Today, I am practicing a small piece of “Love Somebody,” which was a popular song recorded by Doris Day and Buddy Clark in 1947. Joan Whitney and Alex Kramer wrote the pop standard. After its publication in November 1947, the song reached the Billboard magazine Best Seller chart in May 1948. It ended the year’s rankings as number 16 for pop songs.
The duet is a fun ditty that will brighten your mood and have you singing along before you know it! Take a listen and go back in time with Doris Day and Buddy Clark.
“Love somebody, but I won’t say who,” they now sang together.
The song ended, and the band clapped.
“Natural together!” Elliot praised. “From the top again.”
